Providence needs a co-op, and to make it happen, volunteers are needed!
Can you...
...set up a table at events, distribute information and answer questions about the Co-op?
...write thank-you notes?
...paint signs or banners?
...ask businesses for donations?
...type handwritten information into a spreadsheet?
...help prepare mailings?
...bake for a bake sale?
...visit local businesses to pick up supplies and donations?
...write press releases and promote events online?
...put up posters and flyers around your neighborhood?
These are just a few of the things that it takes to conduct a successful membership drive. Urban Greens Food Co-op now has over 225 member-owners, and it will take a lot of us working together to get the word out about Providence's co-op, and to gain more member-owners so that we can open our doors!
Join us at the Hudson St. Deli at 68 Hudson St. on August 24th for a Volunteer Orientation. Grab a bite to eat at 6:30, and we'll start the orientation by 7. By 8:00, you will not only know how you can help, but you will also have a better understanding of the Co-op so that you can answer the questions of your fellow community members.
RSVP on Facebook (or just show up!)
Hope to see you there!
